Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Hyun Po Sim, a sole proprietorship operating as CueTaps (“CueTaps”) collects, why, and your choices. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect from fans

  • Tips: amount, currency, time, and a Stripe payment reference. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles card, Apple Pay and Google Pay details.
  • Email list (optional): if you join a performer’s list, we store your email, when you agreed, and the exact consent wording you saw. The performer can download this list.
  • Message with your tip (optional): the message and, if you add it, your name. Only the performer you tip sees it (and you, on your confirmation screen). Don’t include sensitive details.
  • Song requests (when available): the song and artist you request.
  • We don’t require fans to create an account or give their name.

What we collect from performers

  • Email address and password (passwords are handled by Google Firebase and never stored in plain text).
  • Performer name, link, bio, social links and payout currency.
  • A Stripe account reference. Your identity documents and bank details are collected and held by Stripe, not CueTaps.
  • Your tip history and the fan email list you build.

How we use it

  • To process tips and pay performers.
  • To show performers their tips, payment history and fan list.
  • To run, secure and improve the service, and prevent fraud.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe — payment processing and payouts (Stripe Privacy Policy).
  • Google Firebase — accounts and database. Our database is located in Toronto, Canada; sign-in data may be processed in the United States.
  • Vercel — website hosting; requests may be processed in the United States.
  • The performer you tip — they see the tip amount and time, any message (and name) you send with it, and, if you join their list, your email.
  • Authorities, when required by law.

Because some of these providers operate outside Canada, your information may be stored or processed in other countries and be subject to their laws.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep performers signed in. Stripe may set cookies on the payment step to prevent fraud. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Tip records: as long as needed for tax and accounting (generally 7 years). Messages sent with a tip are kept with the tip; ask us and we’ll remove a message.
  • Performer accounts: until the account is closed, then deleted except records we must keep by law.
  • Fan emails: until the fan or performer asks us to remove them, or the performer’s account is closed.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
  • Withdraw consent — for example, remove your email from a performer’s list.
  • Ask us to delete your performer account.

Email dreamhiveinc@gmail.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to what the service needs, and payments are handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS certified. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach puts you at real risk of significant harm, we’ll notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required.

Children

Performer accounts are for people 18 and older.

Changes

We’ll post updates here and change the “Last updated” date.
